Limekiln State Park is now open but as of July 2, 2010 the Limekiln Creek Falls Trail is still closed because of 2008 fire damage: The damage from 2008 fires is relatively moderate along the Pacific Coast Highway but like this trail numerous trails east of Highway 1 are still closed including the Ewoldsen, Limekiln, Pfeiffer Falls Trail (an alternate trial to Pfeiffer Falls, Valley View Trail is open) and Tanbark trails.
