Big Sur Campground & Cabins
Description: Private resort located in the majestic Coastal Redwood forest along the pristine Big Sur River, Big Sur Campground and Cabins offers year-round Famcamping and rustic lodging with the emphasis on Family. There are a variety of styles of accommodations from tent campsites and rustic tent cabins to fully equipped cabins with kitchens and fireplaces. Bring your RV; there are RV sites for up to 8 tons with water and electric hookups, a dump station is also available. Big Sur Campground and Cabins also has a store, laundry, playground, and basketball court. AAA approved.

Directions: Coming from the North
Take 101 south to 156 west at Prunedale, or 68 west through downtown Salinas to Highway 1 south. Continue south on 1 through Monterey and Carmel. We are 25 miles south of Carmel on the westside of Highway 1, 1/4 mile south of River Inn. Coming from the South
Take 101 north to Highway 1 north at San Luis Obispo or 46 west at Paso Robles. From 5 north, take 46 west at Lost Hills. We are located 75 miles north of Cambria on the west side of Highway 1, 1 1/2 miles north of Pfeiffer State Park.
Camping Facilities: Big Sur Campground and Cabins offers accommodations of several different levels: Tent campsites among the redwoods each with a fire pit and picnic table, water spigots and restrooms with hot showers are nearby $35-$50 per night 5 person max. RV sites up to 40 feet with hookups, a picnic table, firepot and central dump station, $45-$60 per night. Tent Cabins on or near the river with queen bed with linens and blankets, picnic table and firepit, $88-$98 max 3 people. Cabins from one room units up to spacious 2 bedrooms with kitchens and fireplaces, $125-$360 per night 6 person max. There are shared hot showers, a coin laundry facility, a playground, basketball and volleyball courts and horseshoe pits. The rates are estimates based on two people final charges increase for more occupants and will vary and can change at any time.
Activities: Adults as well children enjoy splashing about and inner tubing in the shallow Big Sur River (the resort has inner tube rentals). There is a playground, a basketball and volleyball court, and horseshoe pit. Located in at the northern end of the Big Sur Valley you'll also find restaurants, shops, beach access and miles of spectacular hiking trails just a few minutes drive along the highway.
Close by Points of Interest: Located at the northern end of the Big Sur Valley there are numerous general stores, gas stations, motels, restaurants, shops and a bar located nearby. Beaches and hiking are only short distances north or south along the Pacific Coast Highway 1. Also just south a few miles is the Henry Miller Memorial Library; a bookstore, art gallery, gift shop and location for many local events http://henrymiller.org/.
Pets & Misc. Regulations: Pets are allowed in tent cabins and the campground on a leash.

Cabins - 64, 60 or 66
Sites 1 - 13 are very close to a steep river bank (not for little kids, teens will love it)
Sites 105 - 109 also are against a nice slope down to the river, but these sites small and close to each other.
